The branding staff at Fonterra decided to begin their conference with a creative team building exercise organised by Sue from Art at Work.
The workshop was held at Studio One, Ponsonby Rd in the sculpture studio where the staff were invited to explore the manipulative qualities of clay.
The group reflected on the company’s position at present through a group discussion and then moved to the workshop to further explore their collective view and where it might lead them in the near future. As the ‘form’ of the workshop was completely open Sue invited the staff members to contribute their ideas which led to the suggestion of ‘separate mountains and streams, moving towards a larger river and mountain’ as a metaphor for the company.
At the end of the workshop the staff were given the opportunity to discuss and reflect on the creative process and how it had assisted with the manifestation of their ideas and thoughts surrounding the company and their team and the rapidly changing environment they are working in.
